What's Gobble?

Gobble is a personalized dinner service for everyone. Gobble turns personal tastes into a dinner made just for you, freshly-prepared and delivered nightly.

Why should I use Gobble?

We make everyone happy. Each person gets a custom weekly menu matching their spice level, their favorite cuisines, and their tastes. As a happy customer once said, we're the dinner fairy.

Dinners are freshly-prepared each day, and cooked in small manageable batches. You can't find our quality anywhere else. We taste dishes from hundreds of local chefs, and we choose only the top 1 - 2 chefs to represent each cuisine on Gobble.

Most importantly, you can count on us. Each day, we'll deliver your warm dinners to your doorstep, witin the exact time window that you specify.

How does it work, exactly?

Step 1: You tell us your family's taste preferences and your desired Gobble days and delivery time.

Step 2: On Friday, we send you everyone's personal dinner menus for the upcoming week. You get complete menu control - you can switch meals or cancel any days you have other plans.

Step 3: Enjoy some free time. We'll deliver your delicious dinners on the exact days and time you want.

Meal Pricing: Adult meals are $10. Kid's meals are $8. Easy peasy.

Delivery: For a limited time, everyone can try Gobble with one week of FREE delivery. Afterwards, each delivery is $5, up to a maximum of $10 per week.

Are Gobble meals healthy?

Absolutely. We take pride in offering healthy options that are also flavorful and creative. Chefs purchase fresh ingredients for every time they receive an order from Gobble. Many of our chefs have their own vegetable gardens. Other chefs have relationships with nearby farmers and producers to source local ingredients.

Who are Gobble chefs?

Gobble works with the best local chefs in every neighborhood. Chefs apply to work with Gobble, and are selected based on their character, cooking knowledge, and of course... talent. Gobble's chefs are moms, dads, sisters, uncles, grandmothers, you name it. Each chef specializes in one or more cuisines, and each has his or her own style. Several of our chefs are also nutritionists, and focus exclusively on creating healthy balanced meals. Some chefs grew up cooking in a foreign country, and make authentic meals from their native cuisine. Our chefs are people in your community who have a passion and undeniable talent for cooking and are ready to share their unique dishes with the world.

Are the chefs cooking safely?

Safety First! Each chef is responsible for complying with federal, state, county or local laws governing consumer food preparation and for acquiring the appropriate licenses and permits. Rest assured, we take safety very seriously at Gobble. To date, one of our team members has personally ordered and eaten every single dish posted on our website. Do you have meals for picky kids?

Yupperdoodles! The Gobble Chefs have designed menus specifically for children that feature simpler dishes, balanced plates, smaller portions, and affordable pricing. You'll find these meals beginning with the word "Kid's" in your cookbook. And yes, we know what you're thinking -- you can order the adult portion of a kid's meal anytime :)

How many portions are in each meal?

Chefs prepare each meal for one person. However, the portions can vary slightly according to each chef's personal style and the dish being prepared. Often times, customers have leftovers or can share their meals with one other person.

What's the minimum order to join Gobble?

There's no minimum anything, no minimum days or meals. You can order just 1 meal for 1 night per week, or 4 meals for several nights per week.

How far in advance do I have to pick my Gobble nights?

You tell us the approximate nights you want dinners at the get go. For example, when you start this service, you might tell us you want dinners on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Then, we send you a custom menu for those three days. Every week, you can decide to keep those days, add more days, or cancel any of the days, if you have plans. You have full control.

Can you accommodate my food allergies?

Definitely. Gobble takes food allergies very seriously. We will communicate your allergies (in both written and verbal correspondence) with the chefs who prepare your food each day. You can personally review, add, or edit the customization notes for any meal in your menu.

How do I receive my dinner?

We deliver it to you within your desired 1 hour window between 5:00pm - 7:00pm. When you're ready to eat, simply plate and reheat your food (briefly! for just about 30 seconds - 1 minute) and you're all set.

Where does Gobble deliver?

We deliver within the heart of the Bay Area Peninsula, and we're working hard to expand quickly! Currently, we serve customers in Atherton, Belmont, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Menlo Park, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Portola Valley, Redwood City, San Carlos, Stanford, Sunnyvale, and Woodside.

Is there a charge for delivery?

Delivery is completely free for the first week to try our service. After that, each delivery is $5, up to a maximum of $10 per week.

If you order 1 night of Gobble dinners, you only pay $5 for delivery. If you order 2 or more nights of Gobble dinners, you pay only $10 for your week of delivery.

When do I pay for the meals?

Your credit card is charged the night before each day you get dinners. That charge happens because our chefs invest a lot of time and money in buying ingredients the next morning to prepare your meals, and they like to know that their payment is secured. If for any reason, of course, your service or meals are ever unsatisfactory, we will refund your payment.

Can I cancel meals if something comes up?

Your order gets processed every Sunday night at 9:00pm. If you need to cancel a day during the week, let us know as soon as possible. You can email us at waiter@gobble.com and we will do our ultimate best to accommodate you.

Is there any obligation? What is the cancellation policy?

At the moment, there is zero commitment and you can simply try out a few nights and let us know what you think. We're very interested in improving our product with your feedback.
