Gobble Stands with the Black Community

To our community,

During this difficult moment as we mourn George Floyd and so many others who have been unjustly killed, we empathize with the pain of the Black community. We stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.

Gobble’s purpose is to bring people together through food. Everyone is welcome at our dinner table, because we understand the extraordinary power and beauty that comes from diversity and equality. We’ve seen this firsthand in our own team, and work hard to advance diversity within our business.

We know that we can do more. Our leadership team is taking action, reviewing our policies and talking to community members to see where our diversity efforts are coming up short, and how we can develop an even more inclusive workplace.

 Here are a few of the steps we’re taking:

• Reviewing all hiring, workplace, and partner policies to ensure that they satisfy our commitment to diversity.

• Providing resources and discussion forums for our employees to build awareness about microaggressions, unconscious bias, inclusivity, and activism. 

• Matching 100% of donations to charities that help support the fight against racism, including the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the Equal Justice Initiative, the Black Lives Matter Global Network, the Loveland Foundation, Homeboy Industries, the Last Prisoner Project, and several other non-profit organizations brought forward and supported by Gobble employees.

We believe actions speak louder than words. We are committed to these efforts, and we hope that through the similar actions of thousands of businesses across the country, we can do our part to create real, lasting change.
